Julie Olsson

LMFT-A

Julie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate who works with families, couples, and individuals, and has a clinical focus on adolescents and adults. Julie’s therapeutic approach incorporates modalities from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Family Systems Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She is also trained in trauma-work via Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

She believes that all people are part of individual, familial, and greater cultural systems, and exploring the impacts of these systems through the medium of a secure relationship can lead to deep emotional understanding, healing, and self-agency. Julie uses her warm, compassionate, and authentic presence to build meaningful and supportive relationships with her clients, because after all– we heal in relationship with others and with ourselves.

When one better understands the patterns and unconscious beliefs that molded their thinking and behavior, they then have more power and skills to choose patterns and beliefs that better align to who they truly are. Julie helps guide clients through this process by creating a judgment-free and safe space that encourages vulnerability, honesty, and humor.
